2019 Brand New Africa Twin DCT Problems. I purchased a new 2019 DCT Honda Africa Twin from the dealership. The bike had 9 miles on it when I picked it up. At pickup it was raining extremely hard so I asked the dealer to load the bike on my pickup. I did not want to test ride the bike because of the rain and did not want to wreck my new bike.
Somebody had an AT and had the same problem with sag. what they found was the shock was good but the spring was too soft. so they replaced just the spring. I have on other bikes used Hyperpro and found it really good so I went for a Hyperpro spring that would retain the same ride height , they do them to add or reduce by 25mm.

BUT. I feel sometimes like the front end is bouncing/vibrating too much. This is especially apparent between around 25-45mph. Below or above this, it seems to disappear. If I take my hands off the bars between 25-45, the bars shake and wiggle quite a bit. Feels like going over a very consistently rough road.
No running the risk of ruining the (existing) battery with jumping or improper charging and still being stuck out in the Bush. Weight and size factor may be close, besides, in that 60 pounds of gear, you could probably trade out something un-needed. Cost, probably more outlay upfront. Signature.
2 posts · Joined 2016. #31 · Nov 16, 2016. So the dealer has had by AT for a day. They checked the spark plug gaps, the ignition coil wiring and the MAP sensor hose for kinks. Once these have been ruled out as causing problems, then Honda will authorise a replacement starter / kill switch. This will be done next week.
2) Turn the Ignition Switch ON (with engine stop switch in the run position) (do not start the engine) whilst at the same time holding down D on the N-D Switch. Keep holding the D switch on. The MIL will then come on. Wait until the MIL goes off and release the D switch.
